Inclusivity in Aesthetics Is For Everyone — How We Built a Clinic Where That’s Actually True

Inclusivity is one of those words that gets used a lot in the wellness industry. You’ll see it on websites, in mission statements, in Instagram bios. But what does it actually mean when you walk through the door? What does it look like in practice, in a real appointment, with a real provider?

At Youthful You we think about that question a lot. Because saying you’re inclusive and actually building a clinic that feels that way are two very different things. This is our attempt to explain what we mean when we say everyone belongs here and why we built it that way from the beginning.

The aesthetics industry has a perception problem

Let’s be honest about something. For a long time aesthetic medicine had a very specific image. It was associated with a certain kind of client, a certain age range, a certain look. The before and after photos all looked the same. The marketing spoke to a narrow slice of the population. And if you didn’t fit that mold, walking into a med spa for the first time could feel genuinely intimidating.

We noticed that. And we decided early on that it wasn’t the kind of clinic we wanted to run.

The reality is that the desire to feel good in your skin doesn’t belong to any one type of person. It doesn’t have an age limit. It doesn’t have a gender. It doesn’t look a certain way or come from a certain background. People of all ages, genders, and walks of life sit in our chair every single week and every single one of them deserves the same quality of care, the same honest conversation, and the same level of comfort.

That’s not a marketing statement. It’s just how we operate.

Inclusivity is one of those words that gets used a lot in the wellness industry. You'll see it on websites, in mission statements, in Instagram bios. But what does it actually mean when you walk through the door? What does it look like in practice, in a real appointment, with a real provider?

What inclusivity actually looks like at YYA

It starts before you even arrive.

The first interaction most people have with us is online. We’ve been intentional about making sure the way we talk about aesthetics doesn’t speak to one type of person. We talk about men getting Botox because men do get Botox and they deserve to feel like that’s completely normal. We talk about aesthetics at 25 and at 65 because the conversation looks completely different at each stage and both are valid. We try not to make anyone feel like they need to be a certain kind of person before they’re allowed to be curious.

It continues at your consultation.

Every new client at Youthful You starts with a consultation before any treatment happens. Not because we want to upsell you. Because we genuinely want to understand your face, your goals, and your concerns before we do anything.

You’ll notice this reflected in the way we schedule. When you book with us, whether it’s for Botox or filler or anything else on our menu, you’ll see that our appointments are longer than you might expect. That’s deliberate. We’ve structured things so that no matter what you’re coming in for, there’s always enough time to actually talk. To hear what’s been bothering you. To look at your face properly before we do anything at all. The treatment comes after the conversation, not instead of it.

That conversation looks different for every person who sits across from us. A 28 year old asking about preventative Botox gets a very different discussion than a 55 year old asking about volume restoration. A man coming in for his first appointment gets the same warmth and the same standard of care as someone who’s been coming to us for three years.

We don’t assume we know what someone wants. We ask. And then we listen.

It shows up in how we approach results.

Natural results aren’t just an aesthetic preference at YYA. They’re a philosophy rooted in respecting who each client actually is. We’re not here to give everyone the same face. We’re here to help each person look like the best version of themselves which means something completely different for every individual in our chair.

That means we’re going to tell you when we think less is more. It means we’re going to push back if we think a treatment isn’t right for you yet. It means your results should never make you look like you’ve been to a med spa. They should make you look like you’ve been sleeping really well.

It means no pressure. Ever.

One of the things we hear most often from new clients is that they were nervous they’d be pushed into treatments they didn’t want or weren’t ready for. We understand where that fear comes from. Some clinics do operate that way.

We don’t. Our goal at every appointment is a happy client, not a bigger invoice. If you come in for a consultation and the honest answer is that you don’t need anything yet, that’s what we’ll tell you. If there’s something you’re concerned about that we genuinely don’t think needs treatment right now, we’ll say so. We’d rather have a client who trusts us completely than one who felt pressured into something they weren’t sure about.

Who we see every week

Our clients range from people in their mid 20s just starting to think about preventative care to clients in their 60s and 70s who’ve been investing in their skin for years. We see men who’ve never done anything before and want to know where to start. We see people who’ve had work done elsewhere and want a second opinion or a fresh start. We also work with clients who are exploring facial feminization or masculinization through injectables. We see clients who are nervous and clients who’ve been doing this for a decade.

Every single one of them gets the same thing from us. An honest assessment, a real conversation, and a team that’s genuinely invested in their results.

That’s what an inclusive clinic actually looks like. Not a tagline. Just the way we show up every day for every person who walks through our door.
